Pro Wrestling NOAH fans, mark your calendars! On July 13th, wrestling legend AJ Styles is set to step into the ring at the iconic Budokan arena. Styles, who currently performs under WWE, will be facing off against NOAH veteran Naomichi Marufuji in a highly anticipated match.
Styles expressed his respect for Marufuji, stating, “I know how talented you are, Marufuji, and your long and successful career speaks for itself. On July 13, let’s make the best of it.” He also praised Japanese wrestling, saying, “The level of Japanese wrestling is very high. Pro Wrestling NOAH is at the top of that list. Marufuji is one of the best I have ever seen.”

Pro Wrestling NOAH recently held a major event, Abema presents Grand Ship 2024 in YOKOHAMA, on June 16th at BUNTAI. The event featured ten thrilling matches, including:
- GHC Junior Heavy Championship: Daga successfully defended his title for the 7th time against Starboy Charlie.
- GHC Tag Championship: Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura dethroned Jack Morris and Anthony Greene, ending their impressive defense streak.
Marufuji’s recent performance, including a standout match against Will Ospreay last year, has fans eagerly anticipating his bout with AJ Styles.
Main Event Drama
In the main event, GHC Heavyweight Champion Kaito Kiyomiya faced Gabe Kidd from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Bullet Club.
