An exhibition in New York City that showcases GameChanger Wrestling’s competitors in Japan is scheduled to open at the end of this weekend.

The exhibition, “Visitors,” is based on Nick Park’s book of the same name.

Orange Crush, the organizer, announced the exhibition’s opening last month. It will take place at NADA Space on Sunday.

The exhibition will run from April 28 until May 5, and Adam Abdalla and Reilly Davidson will curate it.

The promotional material describes “Visitors” as follows:

“Every pro wrestler dreams of working in Korakuen Hall, and every fan dreams of visiting…

October 2023. International deathmatch promotion Game Changer Wrestling became the first American independent professional wrestling company to run their own show at Tokyo’s storied Korakuen Hall, bringing over twenty wrestlers and referees from the U.S. and Mexico, many of whom performed in Japan for the very first time.

VISITORS is an exceptionally rare look at the bloody and tender moments of life on the road. Featuring 200 pages of match and behind-the-scenes shots by storied wrestling photographer Nick Karp, the limited-edition hardcover book, handsomely hand-painted in blood red, showcases a group of wrestlers far from home, fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Featuring talent including Joey Janela, Jun Kasai, Rina Yamashita, Masha Slamovich, Effy, Allie Katch, El Hijo del Vikingo, Gringo Loco, Jordan Oliver, Los Macizos, and many more, VISITORS is Nick Karp’s second collaboration with Adam Abdalla, publisher of Orange Crush and Affidavit / Affidavit: Discovery, following on the heels of the 2020’s Death in Covid, a closeup look of outdoor deathmatch shows staged during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
