According to sources, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the new WWE Universal Championship was the original plan for the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event. Although the plan was always to create a new world title, Reigns’ 30 day WWE Wellness Policy suspension led to him being removed from the main event. As seen on RAW last night, Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins for the new WWE Universal Championship will now take place at the event.
As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, Vince McMahon was said to have been furious with Roman Reigns after he failed a WWE Wellness Policy test.
