While Gabe Kidd says he doesn’t pay much attention to AEW, he admits that he might start doing so with the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event coming up later this month.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “WRESTHINGS” podcast, the NJPW wrestler commented on the lead-up to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door III. He said,
“Nobody’s got more fighting spirit than me. That’s what it’s about. It’s about constant improvement and not getting caught up in sh*t. I don’t care what’s going on in WWE or AEW right now because I’m not there.”
He continued, “Maybe I’ll start looking at AEW because Forbidden Door is coming up, but I’ll slap a few of them around and then I’ll see if I want to do it full-time. It’s a big commitment. So if I enjoy it, maybe I’ll go there. But if not, then I’ll stick around and enjoy beating up Japanese people some more.”
Rossy Ogawa recently spoke with Tokyo Sports to discuss a variety of topics, including his discussions with WWE.
Ogawa, who runs the Marigold promotion, revealed that he began speaking with WWE in March of this year. He said,
“It must be because of my relationship with Giulia. They responded to our request. They said that all that was left was to adjust the schedule, and that was only recently cleared up.”
