— At one point last week, WWE creative was going to replace Kofi Kingston as R-Truth’s tag team partner with Santino Marella. The teaming was going to be for comedic purposes. That idea has already been scrapped.

— The website of the Prudential Center, where SmackDown will be taping on March 20, is advertising appearances by both John Cena and Triple H. Cena is scheduled for a match against Kane in a steel cage (it is possible this could be dark match). The site has also announced an eight-man match with CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus and The Big Show taking on Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes.

— WWE has announced the following groupings for WrestleMania weekend’s Axxess events:

March 29 at 6 p.m. has: Daniel Bryan, Kane, Mark Henry, Santino Marella, R-Truth, Beth Phoenix, Christian, Hornswoggle, Jack Swagger, Wade Barrett and The Great Khali.

March 30 at 6 p.m. has: Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Jack Swagger, Vickie Guerrero, The Bellas, Jerry Lawler, Dolph Ziggler and Jim Ross.

March 31 at 8 a.m. has: Roddy Piper, Zack Ryder, Alberto Del Rio, Christian, Ted DiBiase, Booker T, Jimmy Hart, Eve, Layla, Drew McIntyre and Teddy Long.

March 31 at 1 p.m. has: Mark Henry, The Big Show, Kane, The Miz, Primo, Natalya, Kaitlyn, Tyson Kidd and Ricky Steamboat.

March 31 at 6 p.m. has: R-Truth, Brodus Clay, Kane, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Ted DiBiase, Kaitlyn, Teddy Long, Hornswoggle, AJ, Naomi and Cameron Lynn.

April 1 at 8 a.m. has: Alberto Del Rio, Santino Marella, Daniel Bryan, Christian, The Bellas, Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero, ER-Truth, The Great Khali, Primo, Alicia Fox and Lita.
