Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT will feature a 25-man battle royal to determine Trick Williams’ next opponent for the NXT Championship, and Cody Rhodes revealed on last week’s show that “multiple locker rooms” would be involved. Some fans have speculated that TNA wrestler Joe Hendry will be participating in the match.
According to a report from Corey Brennan, several TNA talents are expected to be involved in the match. The recent references to Hendry (“Say his name and he appears”) have been done by design.
One WWE talent said they’d be “shocked” if Hendry didn’t appear at some point in the current crossover.
As far as Shawn Michaels putting the WWE NXT Championship on a non-contracted talent is concerned, one source said that he “would make anyone a number one contender, not a champion” based on recent booking.
