The report states that John Swikata, a longstanding member of the WWE creative team, has been promoted to lead writer for the weekly WWE program.
Swikata reportedly assumed the new role last week, taking over from Ryan Callahan, who parted ways with WWE.
Before this promotion, Swikata was a senior writer within the organization and has been associated with WWE for at least a decade. Former WWE writers have described Swikata as a well-respected and long-serving creative team member.
Insiders from WWE have lauded Swikata’s new role, attributing it to the success of the recent SmackDown episode that aired on Friday. This episode is considered one of the most significant for WWE since WrestleMania 40, and it marks a promising start to Swikata’s tenure. Notably, SmackDown is set to return to the USA Network on September 13.
