According to a report from FOX 13 News, the host city of St. Petersburg, Florida benefited immensely from the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, which generated a direct economic impact of $47,047,401.
The event contributed $28,337,038 in direct spending and $2,923,664 in taxes to the city.
The report lists additional statistics as a sampling of spillover business to local companies, which you can check out below:
* The Imagine Museum had a 25% increase in attendance for the day after the pay-per-view event.
* Ferg’s Sports Bar did seven times the business of a normal Saturday on the day of the Royal Rumble.
* Green Bench reported a 10-15% increase from normal Saturday operations.
* The Sun Runner saw a 95% ridership increase on the day of the show.
* $60,000 was donated to ARC Tampa Bay, Miracle by the Bay, Boys & Girls Club of St. Petersburg, and the Pinellas Education Foundation.
