“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”

WWE RAW Opener:

This week’s show kicks off with everyone on the stage and a graphic for Roddy Piper. A ten bell salute happens and then we get a very touching video package on his life and career.

From there, the regular RAW opener hits and out comes Seth Rollins. Rollins brags about breaking John Cena’s nose last week. He shows footage of several replays of the knee that broke his nose. He challenges him to a match, title vs. title, winner take all, at the four-hour SummerSlam event. He issues a WWE World Heavyweight Championship open challenge. We head to a break.

When we return, Rollins tells Jo Jo he has some conditions. The person challenging him must be under six feet tall and under 200 pounds. Jo Jo says, so you mean El Torito? Rollins says yes. Out comes El Torito, however before he gets to the ring, Neville’s music hits.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
– Seth Rollins (c) vs. Neville

The announcers point out Neville is under six feet and under 200 pounds. The bell rings and here we go. Neville vs. Rollins for the WWE title.

The crowd immediately begins chanting for Neville as soon as the match begins. Neville ends up knocking Rollins out of the ring. Neville then does somewhat of a corkscrew moonsault to the floor, crashing onto Rollins. We head to a mid-match break.

When we return from the break, we see footage from the break that shows Rollins slamming Neville into the announce table to take over control of the offense. The action returns to the ring.

Once back in the ring, Rollins dominates the action for a couple of minutes and then Neville starts hitting several high-flying, high-impact moves for close near falls, including one very close one that the announcers sold like crazy.

Rollins starts fighting back but then out of nowhere, Neville gets Rollins down and goes to the top rope. Neville successfully hits the Red Arrow, immediately covers Rollins and the referee counts to three, however the referee noticed that Rollins had gotten his foot on the ropes at 2 1/2, so the match continues.

The fans start chanting “one more time! one more time!” at Neville, so Neville goes back to the top rope for a second Red Arrow. This time, Rollins rolls out of the way and Neville comes crashing down. Rollins hits Neville with a Pedigree and pins him. 1-2-3. Rollins wins and retains.

Winner and STILL WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Seth Rollins

Los Matadores & The Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day & The Ascension

We are told by the announcers that up next, Los Matadores and The Lucha Dragons will team up to take on The New Day and The Ascension in eight-man tag-team action. On that note, we head to another commercial break.

When we return from the break, all of the teams except The New Day are in the ring. We see The Prime Time Players on commentary again this week. Out comes The New Day. The bell sounds and here we go.

Big E. and Kofi Kingston are the two members representing The New Day in this one, with Xavier Woods at ringside shouting like a lunatic as usual. The match sees a lot of back-and-forth action, with a lot of high-flying spots.

El Torito grabs Xavier Woods on the apron. The distraction allows Kingston to blast Kalisto with Trouble In Paradise while he was on the top rope. Kalisto comes crashing to the mat, Kingston covers him. 1-2-3. The New Day and The Ascension win.

Winners: The New Day & The Ascension

The Bella Twins (w/ Alicia Fox) vs. Charlotte & Becky Lynch (w/ Paige)

When we return from the break, Team Bella make their way to the ring. Lilian Garcia announces Nikki Bella and Brie Bella will be teaming up, with Alicia Fox at ringside. They show a pre-taped Bella Twins interview. Nikki takes credit for starting the Diva Revolution.

Out next are The Bella Twins opponents tonight, Charlotte and Becky Lynch, who make their way to the ring accompanied by Paige, who will be at ringside on their behalf. Now we see a pre-taped interview with these three. They say the Diva Revolution starts and ends with them.

The bell sounds and here we go. Brie Bella starts things off for her team, and Becky Lynch kicks things off for hers.

Charlotte gets tagged in and now she and Brie go at it. Nikki tags in and takes over control of the offense. We see Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina watching on a monitor backstage. We head to a mid-match commercial.

When we return from the break, we see Lynch and Brie going at it. Brie ends up taking control and tags in Nikki. Nikki takes it to Lynch, who eventually tags in Charlotte.

Charlotte and Nikki go at it for a while, and then finally Charlotte gets Nikki locked in the figure-8 submission hold. Nikki taps out.

Winners: Charlotte & Becky Lynch

Backstage: Jo Jo With Team B.A.D.

Backstage, Jo Jo asks what Team B.A.D. thinks of Charlotte and Becky Lynch winning just now. Sasha Banks says it’s no big deal. Naomi challenges Paige to a match tonight. Naomi says she’s tired of hearing about Ronda Rousey. She says Team B.A.D. are the baddest women in the world.

Miz TV with Kevin Owens & Cesaro

When we return from the commercial break, The Miz is in the ring with his MizTV set up. Miz mentions all of the WWE talk show segments in history, and says none of them would be possible without “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Piper’s Pit.”

Miz goes on to complain about Ryback and talk about how he should be stripped of the WWE Intercontinental Championship. From there, Miz turns his attention to his actual guests for tonight.

Miz introduces his first guest, former NXT Champion Kevin Owens. Owens comes out and before he can say much of anything, Cesaro’s theme music hits and out comes Miz’s second scheduled guest for Miz TV earlier than expected.

Cesaro gets in the ring and Owens talks about him interrupting him. Cesaro talks about how Kevin Owens can talk and walk, but he can fight. He challenges Owens to fight, but Owens instead walks away. Off-mic, we hear Owens on the ramp yelling “on my terms!” We head to another break.

More Ronda Rousey Talk

When we return from commercial, after being referenced by Naomi earlier tonight, WWE references “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey again. This time, they read a social media message she wrote about the passing of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, who she got the “Rowdy” moniker from, and then they showed her talking about Piper in the Octagon during her post-fight interview this past Saturday night after her 34-second KO of Bethe Correia at UFC 190.

Rusev vs. Mark Henry

From there, we see some video highlights of the Rusev, Lana, Dolph Ziggler, Summer Rae saga. We then head to the ring for our next match.

Out first comes the duo of Rusev and Summer Rae. After that, Mark Henry’s theme music hits and out he comes for this one-on-one contest.

The bell sounds and here we go. Rusev dominates the action early on, as we see Summer looking on with approval. Rusev blasts Henry with a huge kick. And another. He covers him and gets the 1-2-3. That simple.

After the match, as Rusev and Summer celebrate in the ring, Rusev blasts Henry with a third big kick to the face. His music hits again and finally it’s over.

Winner: Rusev

Backstage: Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper

Backstage, we see Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper in their typical strange room. The two talk about Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and how they messed up. They tell them to run. Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Sheamus will be taking on Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton in six-man tag-team action in tonight’s RAW main event. We head to another commercial break.

Zack Ryder vs. King Barrett

When we return from the break, Zack Ryder is in the middle of making his way to the ring. Out next comes his opponent for tonight, King Barrett.

Barrett gets a good reaction coming out, and then takes the mic for a quick pre-match promo. Barrett talks about being the King, and how nobody is worth the dirt on his boots.

The bell sounds and here we go. And what amounted to pretty much a squash match, Barrett ended up hitting the Bull Hammer Elbow for the 1-2-3. After the match, we head to another break.

Winner: King Barrett

Paul Heyman & Brock Lesnar

When we return from the break, Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring. He introduces himself as usual, “My Name is …” and the fans, who are apparently big Heyman fans in San Jose, say it along with him.

Heyman talks for a bit about Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker and SummerSlam. He shows video of Lesnar dominating Taker in the past and other stuff. Then, he introduces his client, Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Heyman goes on to tell a story that Vince McMahon didn’t want him to tell. He says after Lesnar beat Undertaker at WrestleMania, Taker called Vince and begged him to give him a rematch against Lesnar at the next WrestleMania. Heyman says Taker begs for nothing, but he begged for Lesnar.

Heyman goes on to talk about how a rematch is finally going to happen. He says at SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center, Lesnar is going to take Taker to Suplex City.

He says last time, Undertaker needed an ambulance. He says this time, he will be done forever. He says Undertaker will rest in pieces. All the time he’s saying these last few points, he is completely screaming and turning red and going nuts. Lesnar’s music hits again and they leave.

Naomi vs. Paige

We’re back from the break and we see video of tonight’s RAW Diva tag-match where Charlotte tapped Nikki Bella out with the Figure-8 submission hold. From there, we shoot back live inside the arena and Paige’s music hits. Paige makes her way out to the ring with what she calls “The Submission Sorority,” Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch.

Out next is Team B.A.D., Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina. It will be Paige and Naomi in one-on-one action as the Diva Revolution continues tonight on WWE RAW. The announcers promote the fact that Paige will be appearing on the “Stone Cold Podcast” tonight on the WWE Network.

Early on, Paige is getting in some offense on the larger Naomi, however it isn’t long before the heel Diva takes over the offense and begins dominating. Naomi takes Paige out of the ring and beats her up some more. She slams her back-first into the ring apron and then rolls her back in the ring.

Back in the ring, Tamina continues to dominate. Paige starts fighting back. Paige gets Naomi in her P.T.O. submission finisher. Naomi eventually taps out. The announcers point out that “The Submisison Sorority” has done it again tonight here on RAW.

Winner: Paige

Stardust Interview & Stephen Amell Is Coming

The announcers introduce a Facebook interview with Stardust. Stardust talks about Neville and babbles as usual. He references the fact that Neville lost tonight. He laughs like a crazy person and then we head to another commercial break. Then a tweet is shown from Stephen Amell that says he is coming to RAW next week.

Roddy Piper Tribute

When we return from the break, WWE introduces the same Roddy Piper video package, which is an absolutely amazing piece of work, by the way, that aired at the start of the show.

After the video package concludes, we shoot to the announcers and the three guys share some Roddy Piper memories briefly.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose Promo

Backstage, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose cut their basic promo response to Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, promoting the aforementioned six-man tag-team main event match for tonight’s RAW. On that note, we head to a commercial. Our main event is up next.

Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper & Sheamus

When we return from the break, Randy Orton’s music hits. “The Viper” makes his way to the ring first. Out next comes one of his two partners for tonight, “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose. Finally, the third and final member of the team, Roman Reigns, makes his way to the ring from the crowd as usual.

From there, Sheamus’ music hits and “The Celtic Warrior” makes his way to the ring. Out next are his tag-team partners for tonight, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Our six man tag-team main event is about to get underway.

Early on, the babyfaces are enjoying the control of the match. The trio of heels are on the floor, so Ambrose hits a wild dive and splash onto all three, taking them all out. Shortly after that, we head to a mid-match commercial break.

We’re back from the break and we see Sheamus taking it to Reigns. Finally, Reigns regains control. Reigns asks for Wyatt to be tagged in, but instead, Harper is. Reigns immediately starts taking it to Harper and then tags in Ambrose.

Ambrose comes in and picks up where Reigns left off. After some double and triple-teaming offense, Wyatt, Harper and Sheamus lay out Reigns, Ambrose and Orton on the floor. On that note, we head to another mid-match commercial.

When we return from commercial, we see Wyatt taking it to Ambrose in the ring. He then tags in Harper, who takes over. Ambrose ends up slamming Harper to start to get back into the fight.

Ambrose slowly crawls to his corner, where Reigns was just knocked to the floor. He finally makes the tag to Orton. Wyatt also tags in. Orton takes the hot tag and is taking out any and everything that moves.

Orton hits his draping DDT off the middle ropes on Wyatt. Orton starts going into Viper Mode, pounding the mat and calling for the RKO, only to be attacked from behind by Harper. Now Ambrose takes him out. On the floor, however, Harper takes out Ambrose with a big boot. But then Reigns takes out Harper.

Back in the ring, Reigns is on the apron begging for Orton to make the tag. He does. Sheamus tags in as well. Reigns takes the hot tag now and now he is absolutely destroying everything in sight.

On the floor, Reigns catches Sheamus with a big shot and then runs over to Wyatt, who is standing up but laying the top half of his body on the announce table. Reigns does his running, land on his butt, boot-to-the-face spot, only on the announce table instead of the outside of the ring apron.

The action returns to the ring where Ambrose and Harper are going at it. Ambrose takes out Harper. There are bodies everywhere. Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail on Ambrose but Ambrose avoids it and hits a big splash on Harper. Orton hits an RKO out of nowhere. Reigns follows up with a spear out of nowhere. 1-2-3. Reigns, Orton and Ambrose win. WWE RAW goes off the air after this match.

Winners: Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns
