Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day! Tonight will be the special 250th episode of All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show, Dynamite.
To keep things simple, my question for you today is “What are your predictions for AEW Dynamite 250?”
Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.
As far as my answer…
When it comes to Mariah May’s promo segment, I fully expect it to be a run-of-the-mill “I want to get out of your shadow and I never really cared about you or idolized you, I was just trying to get closer to the title” bit. Toni Storm will likely come out and they’ll fight. Nothing much more than that.
I don’t think Darby Allin and Jack Perry will have an actual match, but I do think Allin will go after Perry and The Elite, as well as declare himself for Team AEW if he’s able to compete in Blood & Guts.
I have no predictions for the TV Time segment with Chris Jericho. It’ll be more of the same things, I guess, but I don’t know what they have in store.
Mercedes Moné is certainly not dropping the AEW TBS Championship to Nyla Rose. It just flat out isn’t happening. Rose has no momentum on her side and it would make zero sense to derail the build to Moné vs. Britt Baker for All In. This is just a case where Rose is someone established that Moné can get a win over. Nothing more.
MJF vs. Will Ospreay for the AEW International Championship is a tough one, though. I can see an argument for both walking out with the title. Ospreay hasn’t held it long enough to make it too obvious he’ll lose it, but there are such things as short title reigns. Plus, losing it would open him up to a world title shot (even though he’s already had that). MJF could use a title, too, and if he’s not going to be fighting for the world title any time soon, possibly, this could be the way to get around that. But I think more than likely, Ospreay will retain in some fashion that will involve Daniel Garcia, possibly setting up a three-way for the belt at All In.
Since no titles are on the line with Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland, that’s a good opportunity to have Strickland lose without it being a problem. Team Elite should interfere, costing him the match, so they have more momentum on their side heading into Blood & Guts. Ideally, it should be via “Hangman” Adam Page that this happens, and we see Bryan Danielson come out after to help Strickland fight them off, as well as to join Team AEW.
