7) “If you could add one more match to this card, what would it be?”

MANGO: Strong vs. Dream can play out on television, or they can get involved in some kind of a brawl, so I’d say the cruiserweight title should be defended. Give me Devlin against Garza on the pre-show.

BALAZ: Nothing comes to mind. Perhaps Scarlett Bordeaux and Killer Kross attack Keith Lee after his match, but much like the last question, I like the focus on big stories and not TV main event caliber matches.

MITCHELL: In relation to question 6, let’s get an NXT Cruiserweight Championship made! Devlin VS Garza 1v1 with all that ego in the ring would be so good.

ABSLER: I would add Angel Garza vs Cedrick Alexander as the two had a quick match on RAW and if given more time, could tear the house down. Alexander is qualified to be the challenger and Garza’s recent RAW debut adds even more star power to his name.

JAY: I appreciate NXT’s “less is more” philosophy, so I would not add another match. I would replace Ripley-Belair with a #1 contender’s match for the Cruiserweight title, Roderick Strong versus Angel Garza versus Lio Rush

BONNETTE: Cruiserweight title match. Devlin getting a defense in front of a hot takeover crowd could be a real boost to him.

SCAFIDE: Priest vs Cutler. A local rivalry can really help both men big.

STAPLE: The standard formula for Takeover is 5 matches, and NXT will now have 6. I definitely don’t want to add another as it would deviate too much from what’s been working for them. But in a hypothetical world, I’d add Strong vs. Dream in a grudge match.

COOK: I wouldn’t. Six matches is enough for a TakeOver card. Every match will get its opportunity to shine and nobody’s going to have a gripe over a lack of time. But since this is my first time here and I probably shouldn’t make the bosses too angry yet, I’m going to add KUSHIDA vs. Cameron Grimes in a rubber match. They faced off on the December 4th & 18th episiodes of NXT with each man winning once. Both have gotten the chance to impress lately in matches with other folks, so putting them on this card against each other to settle their score could have made some sense.

JEANNINE: I really like the card as is honestly.

DEMARCO: Nothing. This is a six match card, and it’s absolutely loaded. The one thing NXT is better at than all of WWE (and most other companies) is letting things breathe. Six is the perfect number for this show, and even though that means saving Roderick Strong vs Velveteen Dream for next Wednesday, I’m not changing it. Keep it at 6.
