Happy WrestleMania Weekend! Ranking Intros

My favorite day weekend of the year is here! Happy WrestleMania Weekend Folks!

Let’s kick it off with a quote from Vince McMahon during the opening of my all-time favorite WrestleMania, WrestleMania VI:

Growing up, before the advent of the WWE Network, every WrestleMania Sunday, I would get together with a few buddies, sometimes more than our house should handle, and we’d watch 2 or three WrestleMania PPVs leading up to the big show in the evening. Some would bring over their favorite PPV VHS tape and we’d all have a day to enjoy a full day’s worth of wrestling action.

By WrestleMania XX, the one-day extravaganza started to form into a two-day “wrestlefest”. Friends would gather in each other’s houses rotating each year and enjoy a full weekend of PPV events.

The one thing that has stayed the same over the 30+ years of watching WrestleMania was the opening intro. I believe it was WrestleMania IX that it hit me for the first time. I was enamored by the energetic and deep voice of Vince McMahon as he introduced everyone to Caesars Palace.

Since then, each year, I’d get excited for Vince and his introductions. Unfortunately, while intros would be changed the in years to come, I’d still have a fond feeling for the nostalgia that is WrestleMania and the grand intros.

WWE recently put out a playlist of all the WrestleMania intros. I’d highly check it out. There was something so special about how Vince put over his product with passion. Fun game: Can you count how many times Snickers presents WrestleMania?
