Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

AEW Full Gear 2024 is in the bag, so it’s time to break down the highlights and low points. Which aspects do you think were the biggest positives and which ones were the biggest disappointments?

My question for you today is “What were your pros and cons for AEW Full Gear 2024?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

My low point was easily the Champagne Championship Celebration. What business did that have taking up time on this pay-per-view? You mean to tell me you spent something like 2 months waiting to have this “I won the title” promo, only for it to be the most generic possible outcome? And not even done well?

This would have been a bad segment on Dynamite alone, but at least that would have been more fitting for its value. Cutting out the entire 90 minute pre-show and this would have trimmed the time down to a much more manageable 4 hours, basically, and nothing of substance would have been cut.

It’s crazy to me that I’m not putting the Costco Guys segment as my low point, as that was more justified than the celebration promo. However, I’ll repeat that the whole QT Marshall vs “Big Boom” AJ thing should have been on television as well.

My highlight would have to go to Kyle Fletcher winning. Again, I’m surprised I’m not going with Daniel Garcia’s title victory, but that felt a little too melodramatic for me. Fletcher and Will Ospreay had the better match and I enjoyed seeing the young protege get the win over the master more so than I enjoyed Garcia’s story with Jack Perry acting like he’s some grizzled veteran in comparison. I always thought that felt like an odd direction to go.
