How Should Cody Rhodes Juggle Gunther, Kevin Owens & The Rock? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Following WWE Bad Blood, Cody Rhodes had an impending threat of lingering doom from The Rock, will be facing Gunther (most likely) at Crown Jewel, and was attacked in the parking lot by Kevin Owens.

My question for you today is “How should WWE properly juggle these storylines?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Thankfully, the Gunther match doesn’t need much for it. Their titles aren’t on the line. This isn’t a blood feud. If they have one segment standing opposite each other, that’s good enough. Ideally, there will be a tag team match, though, where Kevin Owens keeps his fresh heel turn going by teaming with Gunther to fight a team of Cody and Sami Zayn, who is having his title match with Gunther tonight.

That’s something I would focus on for next week’s Raw, or better yet, the SmackDown after this week. This week needs to be the title match and on Friday, Cody addressing the Owens betrayal. Then, Sami can respond on Raw and they can properly hype that up.

In the meantime, though, I think the bulk of the story with The Rock needs to be the focal point of what people like Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are doing. After all, they’re even more intrinsically tied into this than Cody, despite him having the title. And it can’t he all focus on Rhodes with nothing for The Bloodline to do but to jump people and brawl 900x over. Plus, we don’t know yet how this is going to play out. Is this a plan for Crown Jewel, or just WarGames, or Saturday Night’s Main Event, or Royal Rumble? I would think Survivor Series, with Crown Jewel featuring a singles bout between Roman and Solo.

My biggest curiosity is where they put the rematch between Owens and Rhodes. If that is on the table, which you’d assume would be the case, then I can’t imagine that’s at Survivor Series with the WarGames match going on. Surely, Rhodes is on Roman’s team there. So maybe Cody and KO have a match on SmackDown and by the time we get to Survivor Series, it’s transitioned to Owens against Randy Orton, who can act as Cody’s protector and that’s the split of the RKO tag team? Then, Cody is free to do WarGames and possibly fight The Rock at SNME or Royal Rumble.

What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
