How Would You Book Lance Anoa’i In WWE NXT? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

It appears another member of The Bloodline could be in the works as Lance Anoa’i has reportedly joined the NXT roster, albeit in a holding pattern because he is injured and not cleared to start competing.

My question for you today is “How would you debut him and put him on the WWE roster?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

I was positive Hikuleo would be joining The Bloodline on SmackDown as Talla Tonga way before Survivor Series so he could be included in the WarGames match. Clearly, that’s not happening, and all reports sporadically seem to point to him possibly going to NXT, more than anything else.

With that in mind, and since we’ve been waiting for a while for that to happen, as well as how we have to wait for Anoa’i to heal up, maybe it would be worth it to just debut the two of them together as a tag team. It’d be odd, as Hikuleo would have made more sense to be on the main roster in my mind, but it’s a possibility.

Or…actually, as I write that out, I’ve immediately convinced myself to a different idea. I would love to see Solo Sikoa lose WarGames to Roman Reigns, have that be for an ula fala “right to call yourself Tribal Chief” scenario, and The Rock comes out and soon after and excommunicates Sikoa. The Rock ends up with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Hikuleo is brought in. Then, at WrestleMania, it’s Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa against Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Hikuleo. Jacob Fatu ends up fighting for the United States Championship or something. Meanwhile, Lance Anoa’i can either be brought in on his own accord rather than in a tag team, or, if WWE can secure Zilla Fatu, we can see Anoa’i and Zilla be a tag team.

If he’s just coming in on his own, Anoa’i being part of NXT would feel strange to me in the current Bloodline Civil War story. He’d almost have to be an agent sent to try to take over NXT, and I don’t know enough about him to say he would be worthy of being the NXT champion or anything. If he is, maybe that’d be the easiest way to debut him as an immediate threat and someone Ava brought in as per a request from her dad, so Ava can turn heel as general manager.
