Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
Erik and Ivar, formerly known as The Viking Raiders (and The Viking Experience temporarily before that) have reverted back to their War Raiders tag team name starting with last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw.
While it isn’t War Machine—which they would assuredly use if they were to ever leave WWE and go back to the indies or sign with some other company like AEW—it’s at least a return to form while ditching the viking gimmick that no doubt was a Vince McMahon call.
But one element that hasn’t been addressed yet is whether or not in the process of getting rid of the viking aesthetic, they’ve potentially also gotten rid of their valet, Valhalla (aka Sarah Logan) or if she’s still going to stick around. And if it’s the latter, how is that going to happen?
My question for you today is “What do you think WWE should do with Sarah Logan? Should she stay Valhalla with them? Stick with that name, but no longer be tied to them? Something else?”

As far as my answer…
Not to sound mean, but I don’t think that Logan has ever had much presence on the roster even at her peak. She was always the redheaded stepchild of The Riott Squad, which I personally wasn’t even fond of on their best days. On her own, she didn’t click with any type of character they tried with her. Arguably, the most fun I remember her being was Kane’s concessions manager, funny enough.
The Valhalla gimmick isn’t something that can sustain itself, and it doesn’t make any sense in my mind to keep her with that persona while they’ve ditched their viking gear. If she’s going to stay with them, she either has to keep the name and change how she looks to become more of a Mad Max: Fury Road/Furiosa type of character (a la more Road Warriors inspiration) or she needs to be renamed something else.
I don’t think she really offers all that much to being ringside with them, if I’m being honest. They can win matches clean as powerhouses without needing her to cheat on their behalf. She isn’t the talker of the group, either, nor is she treated like the eye candy like Scarlett or even B-Fab. At that point, what purpose is she solving?
On her own, she’s never had much success, and I don’t see that changing any time soon. Realistically, could you picture WWE pushing her toward a women’s world title? That’s a bit like asking for a major push for Tamina. After all these years, if they really wanted to do something with her, they would have. Logan under any gimmick just isn’t their priority. Hell, even a girl like Tegan Nox, who was treated as a much bigger deal with more potential, has been M.I.A. for months and can’t get anywhere. How would there be any chance Logan would find herself in a lucky spot to go from 0 to 100?
I don’t want to advocate for anyone to lose their jobs, but I could understand, realistically, if she ends up being released. I’d rather WWE repurpose her as a manager for them that goes with the Road Warrior type gimmick, as mentioned, and at least try that out, though. If that doesn’t work, and if it’s better for travel purposes and all, maybe put her down in NXT and have her step in the ring with those girls to freshen up the roster a bit and allow her to teach some of her veteran knowledge to the younger class.
There are usually ways to try to keep someone around if WWE can spare it in the budget, and I’m all for trying things out before going to the last-case scenario of a release. That may be the safest bet for predictions, sadly. But maybe I’m wrong and Valhalla will retain her viking gear and somehow stay with them and it’ll all turn into something awesome. I’m always willing to be proven wrong in glass half empty predictions.
If she does get released, I think the best place Sarah Logan would shine would be in NWA, for the record. AEW wouldn’t prioritize her, TNA wouldn’t put the title on her either, and I don’t think she’d want to tour the indies in any crazy way. NWA could very feasibly give her a run, though, or maybe even something like WOW would be a decent option.
