Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

After seeing three WWE Superstars turn on their friends in the past few days, let’s rank them!

My question for you today is “Who had the best turn this week between Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor kicking Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest out of The Judgment Day, or Wes Lee turning on The Rascalz?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

It’s obviously hard to tell where WWE goes with Wes Lee turning on The Rascalz, but since both of the other members of that faction are TNA wrestlers, I’m a little worried this was the last we’ll see of them in WWE. The feud might continue on Impact, but I don’t watch the show, so it won’t have much bearing on me as a fan. Of course, the jury is out on that one; we’ll have to see at least what happens next week first.

Generally speaking, though, as much as it was more predictable to happen on this particular night at SummerSlam, I think Dominik Mysterio turning on Rhea Ripley will end up being the overall bigger story.

Yes, Finn Balor turning on Damian Priest functionally sets him up as the leader of The Judgment Day, cemented Priest as a babyface, and will have a big impact. But Mysterio turning on Ripley does just the same, sets her free to be a face as well, and will likely be more of a chance this results in a gimmick match. I’d imagine Priest vs. Balor will be straight-up, while we might get something like Ripley vs. Liv Morgan where instead of it being a “custody of Dominik” ladder match, it’ll be something more akin to Dirty Dom locked in a shark cage and if Ripley wins, she gets a few minutes to beat him up or whatever.

Lee’s will have a big impact on his NXT career. This is his first time trying out a heel persona. But it’s still NXT, and they’ve had a track record this year of turning people back to babyface (or at least, babyface-ish, like Ridge Holland) rather quickly after their turns, like Josh Briggs. Maybe it won’t even stick long, whereas Priest and Ripley aren’t going to be back in The Judgment Day by any means. And between the two, I think Dom’s got the way bigger reaction, too, which gives it an extra nod over Balor’s for this choice.
