What Was Your Biggest Talking Point From WWE Bash In Berlin & NXT No Mercy? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Both WWE Bash in Berlin and NXT No Mercy pay-per-views went down this weekend, seeing a couple title changes, some friendships strained (and ended), and a few other noteworthy things throughout the shows.

Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, whether it was about a particular match standing out, some performers stealing the show, a single maneuver that was your most favorite spot, or anything else, what did you think is the biggest talking point? What will stay with you the longest or you think will have the most ramifications?

My question for you today is “What was your biggest highlight(s) from this weekend’s WWE premium live events?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Overall, I thought both shows weren’t the most eventful or worth talking about. None of the matches really made a mark for me in the long run. They were mostly all good over both shows, but I didn’t write any down on my Match of the Year list. Then again, I’m more of a storyline focal point person anyway than I am a “move-by-move in-ring is 75-100% of my value in a segment” type of fan, either. I’m sure those fans will be able to call attention to something like the Strap Match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre possibly being their favorite.

We had the women’s tag titles change hands, but is that a huge deal to just revert back to the previous status quo outside of a momentary hot potato situation? The same goes for the NXT tag titles being off Axiom and Nathan Frazer for just a hiccup. The Ridge Holland heel turn means more to me and I think will carry more going forward than just the title change.

I could say the same for Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes and their friendship being strained, but with Solo Sikoa gunning for the title next, I could also see that story just being over, and that none of this was particularly planned to go all that long. We’ll see.

To me, what is going to overall have the biggest impact going forward isn’t the lack of certain titles changing hands, Randy Orton shaking Gunther’s hand, or anything like that, but Giulia’s debut.

It wasn’t SUPER shocking, as she’s been rumored, then confirmed, to be coming to WWE any time now. Last week, on NXT, they even teased someone would be making a debut. But while this lacks the surprise element, I don’t think much else was surprising enough to justify ranking that over the idea that Giulia being in WWE is going to be a bigger deal in the long run. I haven’t seen too much of her, but what I’ve seen has given me a lot of confidence she’ll be a major player.

I’d bank on her winning the NXT Women’s Championship in no time—likely during the CW premiere—and moving up to the main roster in 2025 and already being in a great position to get a serious push. I think we’ll be seeing her in title contention on the main roster as part of the next round of names to be at the top of the card going forward, so we’ll point to this as the start of all that.

Even without putting all that pressure on her, I do think the debut of a new signing, predictable or not, still pretty much comes across as one of the coolest things to talk about over the weekend and the main headline I’d put forward for Monday morning.
