NXT Season 2 Winner: Kaval

Finally, the winner of NXT’s second season is the incredibly talented Kaval. Kaval was accompanied by his WWE pro’s Michelle McCool and Layla. In his first NXT match, on June 15, 2010, Kaval would lose to Alex Riley in one-on-one action. Kaval would amass a record of… three wins and six losses. How did this guy even win, again?

Following his victory on NXT, Kaval would be drafted to the SmackDown brand, where he would make his in-ring debut against Drew McIntyre (which he would lose). Kaval would go on to lose to Chavo Guerrero and Cody Rhodes as well. On October 15, Kaval managed to last five minutes in a match with Big Show, subsequently earning him a spot on Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights that year. In this match, he would be eliminated by Mark Henry.

At Survivor Series of the same year, Kaval would challenge Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. However, he would come up short. Kaval would continue to lose to various WWE superstars until he was released from his contract on December 23, 2010.

Since then, Kaval – more commonly known as “Low Ki” – has returned to the independent circuit. He would return to TNA and NJPW following his release from WWE, later competing in AJPW as well. Since 2018, Low Ki has been competing under the banner of Major League Wrestling. Low Ki’s most recent competition took place on April 9, 2021, where he defeated Lio Rush at VxS Lucid Dreams in Ybor City, Florida. Low Ki has been announced as a member of MLW’s COVID-19 reboot roster, so you can expect to see much more of him there.

With that, we end this Where Are They Now? article. Stay tuned for our recap of NXT’s third season soon!
