Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

AEW WrestleDream 2024 takes place tonight, starting at 6:30pm ET with the Zero Hour pre-show. As per usual, that means we have one last chance to get in all our predictions for the pay-per-view before all the action goes down.

My question for you today is “Who do you think will win all the matches at AEW WrestleDream 2024?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

[Zero Hour] ROH World Television Championship Match: Atlantis Jr. (c) vs. Brian Cage

Despite my near complete lack of knowledge about what is going on with Ring of Honor as of late, I have to assume Brian Cage isn’t being positioned to win this title. Granted, I’ve been dead wrong about some of those ROH predictions as of late, so I could be blind to an obvious title change here. But since this is on the pre-show, and I haven’t heard a peep about it, and I think history has shown that Cage doesn’t get pushed as far in a singles role as he does in a tag team, I think we’re looking at Atlantis Jr. retaining.

[Zero Hour] MxM Collection vs. The Acclaimed

The Acclaimed should ultimately win this feud, but I can’t help but to be rooting for MxM Collection. I’m really glad those guys bounced back and got themselves signed after being released by WWE. They’re entertaining, and even though I love The Acclaimed (I mean, everybody does, right?) I think in the grand scheme, I’d like to see MxM win this. But as far as my official prediction goes, I’m betting on Anthony Bowens and Max Caster.

[Zero Hour] Anna Jay vs. Harley Cameron

Who isn’t Harley Cameron involved with these days? But an even more pressing question is “Who does Harley Cameron ever beat?” The answer is “pretty much no one” and as such, Jay is my pick. Frankly, I don’t see why this is on the card. Neither are even from Washington to justify it that way. This just feels like this could have gone to some other women instead in my mind.

Darby Allin vs. Brody King

Allin just suffered a heavy loss to Moxley, losing the title match that he had earned during Royal Rampage. I highly, HIGHLY doubt Tony Khan’s plan is to follow that up with another loss. In fact, the sheer randomness of Brody King being Allin’s opponent here screams to me that TK looked at the roster while searching for someone Darby can beat where it would look like he overcame some odds (in this case, size) but that didn’t necessarily already run down a top-tier feud for the future and rush it too much. He likely said to himself “I’d like to see this match, so everyone else will” and that was that. For the most part, I think the majority of the fans will end up agreeing. It wouldn’t shock me at all if this is universally liked, even if someone like myself looks at it and says “Isn’t this obvious Allin wins and the match doesn’t really mean anything?” I put a lot more emphasis on a different type of storytelling, but I’m sure I’ll still enjoy the in-ring competition here. Allin 100% wins.

2-Out-of-3 Falls Match: Hologram vs. The Beast Mortos

Sure, why not, right? Having this be a 2-out-of-3 falls match took me by surprise. I’m not fully aware of AEW’s track record with these sorts of matches to be able to toss out a specific prediction as far as who will win the first and second falls to balance this out, but I’d assume it will follow the typical procedure of an even score until someone gets the third.

The Beast Mortos is all over the place. Hologram has been utilized quite a bit, but not as much. I’m leaning toward Mortos, especially since this new partnership with Jake “The Snake” Roberts deserves a bit of a push, instead of automatically going straight into a loss.

“Switchblade” Jay White vs. “Hangman” Adam Page

Interestingly, I don’t think either of these guys should lose a match right now. Page is in a good spot where he should be built up as a world title challenger worthy of a title opportunity, whereas White has never reached the level he should have in AEW, and a win here could help to start rehabbing that.

In the grand scheme, I think Page can take the loss easier. If White loses already, I think that’s going to reflect very poorly on him, even though a loss to a former world champion is far from a burial.

My vote goes to White winning this. I hope I’m not wrong.

Swerve Strickland returns

This isn’t a match, but since it will be a featured segment, I figured I’d toss out my predictions anyway. I expect this to be a promo segment where MVP and Shelton Benjamin are in the ring, talking it out with Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. They’ll try to convince Swerve to join them. Swerve will eventually reject them, a brawl will ensue, and it’ll seem like he’s on top, only for Bobby Lashley to appear and take him out.

AEW Women’s World Championship Match: Mariah May (c) vs. Willow Nightingale

May’s title reign has been such a bust, and I don’t mean that in any kind of innuendo way. I just mean that it has been so bland and uninteresting that I’d love for it to just end already. That’s especially true given her opponent, Willow Nightingale, is someone I think is more than worthy of winning this title. I’d love to see her at the top of the women’s division.

Unfortunately, I don’t think AEW will agree that it is time for her to ascend the throne quite yet. I think this is a case of putting someone solid up against May so she can retain and get some boos. Jamie Hayter is likely the next to hold the gold, if not reverting back to Toni Storm.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs. Private Party (Zay & Quen)

There is absolutely no way Private Party wins this. Not a chance. I would be more shocked about that happening than almost any other alternative answer to these predictions on this card.

Whatever happened to this Elite vs. AEW storyline? It never ended; it just disappeared. What a bummer. This just feels like such filler, as if The Young Bucks wanted to feud with someone else and they either didn’t sign them or they’re not ready to go. I don’t know what the case is, but I think Private Party is there just to give the champions something to do.

ROH World Championship Match: Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Chris Jericho

If Jericho wins, it has to be because they think him holding the gold will help with negotiations for shopping around Ring of Honor. Otherwise, he’s just repeating himself again (like the Orange Cassidy feud) in a rerun for absolutely no reason. If that’s all anyone can think of doing with his character is looking at old feuds and copying and pasting, that’s a shame.

Briscoe deserves to retain here, and I think he will, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I get this one wrong, either.

AEW TNT Championship Match: Jack Perry (c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Even though the Elite/AEW storyline is seemingly dead, I still think all members of The Elite should continue to retain their titles. Jack Perry’s doing a great job. I don’t see how the TNT Championship will be upgraded in any fashion by going to Shibata. That’s not a knock on him, by the way. He’s very talented. But as far as storylines go, I don’t think he’ll be able to drum up the same amount of buzz in comparison. Perry retains.

Three-Way Match For The AEW International Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Ricochet vs. Konosuke Takeshita

When All In happened, I assumed Ospreay was winning back the title so he could hold it for a very long time. Now that this is in front of me, I’m expecting Takeshita to take it. Maybe he pins Ricochet, if they really want to protect Ospreay. Then again, maybe Takeshita is there to take the pin so we can get another one-on-one between Ricochet and Ospreay, as that didn’t have a true finish to it.

I don’t think Ricochet has much of a chance to win this. He certainly could, and I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but I’m leaning far more in the direction of either Ospreay retaining or if there is a new champion, it is Takeshita. The Kyle Fletcher element of this is where I keep doubting which way to go. If he gets involved, he could very well screw Ospreay, even though he’s tended not to fight against him as of late. Could Fletcher vs. Ospreay be the grand plan for this title instead? Maybe.

Gun to my head, I’m going Takeshita. I’m about 60/40 on that, though, with the 40 going to Ospreay.

AEW World Championship Match: Bryan Danielson (c) vs. Jon Moxley

This is tough. There is a part of me that really thinks Danielson is going to lose and this is going to be not his full farewell, but the thing that allows him to take time off to get some surgery. Then, Allin will somehow earn a new world title shot and beat Moxley. Otherwise, why all the hubbub over Moxley feeling like he has a greater purpose to all this? If he loses, isn’t that going to feel like he has no room to stand on?

But surely this isn’t just how Danielson’s career ends…right? So if he does drop the title, maybe they focus more on the idea that that’s the end of his full time in-ring career, and they specify even more that he can still wrestle at least a few more times in the future.

By the time the event starts, I’ll probably change my mind again, but for now, I’m saying Moxley wins.
