Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

NXT No Mercy 2024 is coming up later tonight, so be sure to check out the live coverage starting at 6 pm ET. But in the meanwhile, there’s still time to get in one final round of predictions for what you think will happen during the premium live event.

My question for you today is “Who do you think will win all the matches at WWE NXT No Mercy 2024?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Singles Match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Wendy Choo

I wouldn’t be opposed to Wendy Choo winning the title here, if I’m being honest. Jordan hasn’t had some year-long title reign, but she’s held it long enough that it wouldn’t ruin her to drop it. Choo would get a massive boost by winning the title, though, as she’s never had much credibility.

However, that isn’t what I think will happen. I’m 100% sticking to Jordan retaining. Choo’s been set up as an opponent, but never given me the vibe that she’s the one the writers are going forward with. There just hasn’t been enough momentum on her side to carry her past this match.

Maybe Tatum Paxley comes out to screw over Choo and feud with her, rather than teaming with her as I had originally thought would be the case several weeks ago.

Singles Match: Wes Lee vs. Zachary Wentz

It’s very interesting that Zach Wentz won the X Division title at TNA Emergence. I’d love to see them change this up and make it an impromptu X Division Championship match, but I don’t anticipate they’ll put the belt on the line.

That’d be funny and interesting if Wentz were to have his run end immediately, but that’s also not going to happen, as he was advertised to talk about his title win on the next episode of Impact. Then again, they could have that spot usurped by Wes Lee. That’d be fun.

If the belt is on the line, I’d lean more toward Wentz getting the win and sending Lee spiraling. Even that isn’t a guarantee, though. Overall, I’m way more leaning toward Lee winning and this being the end of the feud.

Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship: Chase University’s Andre Chase & Ridge Holland (c) vs. The Supersonic Duo (Axiom & Nathan Frazer)

I don’t quite understand why this match is happening, as I don’t see many interesting avenues to go. If Chase U retain, then why are we getting the rematch? A title change would make even less sense, as we’d be going backward and it would render Chase U’s win fairly pointless.

Maybe they just really liked the match, couldn’t decide on the next challengers (I’d opt for Shawn Spears and Brooks Jensen), and thought “good enough” and there’s nothing more to it than that. In any case, I’m guessing Andre Chase and Ridge Holland are victorious.

Singles Match for the NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo got his big moment when he slammed Oba Femi to originally put his name out there for a title shot. He’ll put up a good fight here, but I don’t think the title is in any jeopardy.

Don’t get me wrong, Femi could always drop the title and find his way up to the main roster sooner, rather than later. I just think it’s more likely that he loses it to someone else, later in the year or toward the beginning of 2025. Femi strikes me as the guy who can beat the guy who beats Ethan Page for the NXT Championship. Maybe he even walks into NXT Stand & Deliver holding the North American Championship AND fights for the NXT Championship, too.

WWE has had a few chances to take the title off Femi even in Triple Threat matches where he wouldn’t be pinned. In this scenario, he’d have to be pinned or tap out, and I just don’t think that’s happening to D’Angelo.

Singles Match for the NXT Women’s Championship: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Jaida Parker

Not only is it weird to me that this is another heel versus heel match, and not only is Jaida Parker not ready for this title, but they’ve spent so much time calling attention to Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer (and not Delta, mind you) and even flat out teased one of them being there, that I can’t conjure up any arguments in favor of the belt changing hands here.

Perez will lose it either at the CW debut, if they bring in one of those women ahead of time, or they’ll continue to tease that, have one of them debut on the CW premiere, and set up a match for NXT Halloween Havoc where Perez will drop it then. Parker is just someone for Perez to fight in the meantime to kill time.

Singles Match for the NXT Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Joe Hendry (with special guest referee Trick Williams)

Putting Trick Williams in here as the special guest referee could mean a number of things. Maybe they didn’t feel confident in putting a match between Williams and Pete Dunne on the card, or want to stretch that out even longer. Dunne did say he doesn’t think Williams will make it to next week’s NXT, so he might come out and attack him here.

It wouldn’t shock me if that’s the setup, actually. Williams is very pro-Hendry and anti-Page. That causes problems for Page. Dunne attacks Williams, leading to no referee being out. Page takes advantage, does something to Hendry, and a new referee comes out to count the pinfall with Page retaining.

Then, Williams moves on from Dunne eventually to set up a rematch against Page for NXT Halloween Havoc, where Williams wins the title back.
