Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
TNA Sacrifice 2025 is set to go down tonight (starting with the Countdown to Sacrifice pre-show at 7:30pm ET). Be sure to follow live coverage of all the results here when the time comes. But before that, let’s toss out our final predictions for who will win the scheduled matches.
My question for you today is “Who do you think will win at TNA Sacrifice 2025?”
Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.
As far as my answers…
I always need to preface my thoughts by saying that I don’t watch anything but the pay-per-views, so I’m at a loss for a bunch of the context. Keep that in mind. Don’t place your bets on my predictions whatsoever, and cut me some slack for not knowing all the information! I’m tossing out my opinions for the sake of not just positing a question to you and not contributing on my own.
Steel Cage 10-Man Tag Team Match: Joe Hendry, Matt Hardy, Elijah, Leon Slater, and Nic Nemeth vs. The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC) and The Colóns
This is a pay-per-view, but there aren’t many titles on the line. Instead, a steel cage match just for the sake of it is “good enough”, and I guess that’s because it’s technically not on the same level as the other pay-per-view events. So basically like WWE Roadblock being a special episode of NXT, but just airing on another night.
With that in mind, sure, this suffices, I guess. It’s still weird to me Matt Hardy is in this match and Jeff Hardy is facing Moose, but maybe it makes sense within the context and I’m just wholly unaware of it. I’ll always admit that could be the case in these scenarios.
As an outsider, I look at this and think “if no belt is on the line, this is a good means to have someone from the heel side win and establish themselves as Joe Hendry’s next challenger.” Even if Hendry isn’t pinned, that could be the case. Maybe Nic Nemeth turns on him or something, too? I’ll go with The System and The Colons.
Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Rascalz and Ace Austin vs. Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe
The general rule of thumb should pretty much always be that the home field advantage should apply and if an NXT star is on TNA soil, TNA should win, while the opposite should be true in WWE. Of course, unless a title is on the line, in which case, no matter where they are, the titles aren’t going to swap brands 99% of the time.
With that in mind, The Rascalz and Ace Austin win this.
Singles Match for the TNA Knockouts World Championship: Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Cora Jade
Keeping on that same trend, Cora Jade is a fine challenger and a great option to use in this event, but I can’t see the justification for her winning the Knockouts title. Not only does that diminish Slamovich, who should be treated as a big deal for being the one to dethrone Jordynne Grace, but it also means the air of superiority from NXT reigns over the TNA women’s division.
Jade should put up a good fight, but she’s not winning the title.
Singles Match: Tessa Blanchard vs. Léi Ying Lee
That is in part because I just assume Tessa Blanchard is the next in line to be the Knockouts champion. She’ll win over Lee in order to propel her toward that title shot.
Let’s hope McKenzie Mitchell doesn’t have another flub on the ring announcement.
Street Fight: Mance Warner vs. Sami Callihan
I have no context for this, but I do know that Warner has Steph De Lander in his corner. She may be the X-factor that helps him win this, as being No Disqualification more than allows for her to interfere.
Singles Match: Mustafa Ali vs. Mike Santana
You’d think if I said that for Mance Warner winning, that I’d apply the same logic to Mustafa Ali having Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Tasha Steelz by his side, but I’m actually going with Mike Santana on this. His win-loss record speaks for itself. I see no reason why that should change. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee he’ll win, but after going undefeated for so long, it makes more sense to me for him to lose in a title match or something more important. Right now, I’m banking on Santana being the one to dethrone Moose.
Ladder Match for the TNA X Division Championship: Moose (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
Speaking of Moose, obviously, I’m expecting he’ll retain. Jeff Hardy is one half of the tag team champions. Why put the X Division title on him at the same time and take the belt off The Face of the Franchise like that? I’d be completely shocked if this went in the other direction.
[Countdown to Sacrifice]: TBD – Laredo Kid and Octagón Jr. vs. First Class (AJ Francis and KC Navarro)
I’d say flip a coin, but I’d more so just assume First Class wins this as the higher priority team (at least, from my perspective)
2-on-3 Handicap match for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat) (c) vs. Ash by Elegance, Heather by Elegance, and The Personal Concierge
Dani Luna and Jody Threat have held those titles long enough. With the advantage on the Elegance side, they should feasibly become the new champions.
Singles Match: Frankie Kazarian vs. Steve Maclin
Frankie Kazarian overall seems to have a better track record as of late, so I’ll go with him over Steve Maclin.
