Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day! Week 1 of NXT Great American Bash 2024 is set to go down tonight at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Stay tuned to eWrestlingNews for coverage of the show.
In the meantime, my question for you today is “What are your predictions for NXT Great American Bash Week 1?”
Simple and straightforward. Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.
As far as my answers…
Roxanne Perez definitely retains the NXT Women’s Championship over Thea Hail. With Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer coming in soon, Perez is keeping the title warm for one of those two. Hail is a worthy challenger, and super underrated in my mind, but no one’s betting on her.
Equally so, The Unholy Union is retaining the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. I can’t imagine Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are dropping those titles to an NXT team. That goes double for the challengers being Meta-Four. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson are nowhere near ready to be making main roster performances and fighting the top teams on Raw and SmackDown. If they didn’t do that for more established women in the past, they won’t do it for these two.
Tavion Heights winning the NXT Heritage Cup is the only title that I could imagine may change hands, but even that is far from a guarantee. The logic in me that knows titles mostly stay put on average says Heights will put up a good showing against Tony D’Angelo, but ultimately come up short. Charlie Dempsey is the leader of No Quarter Catch Crew (at this point) and he should be the next champion. However…Heights is a former Olympian. WWE would be smart to have him win a title during the Olympics so that they can capitalize on the media coverage. That publicity could be great. It’s just the Heritage Cup—no one really cares about the legacy, and it’s not like Heights has zero potential. Maybe this is the start of something big for him. Tony D losing wouldn’t be the end of the world for him, either. He’ll be able to bounce back from it.
Lastly, I’m going Karmen Petrovic, Lola Vice and Sol Ruca beating Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. Nobody’s feuding with anyone other than each other, as far as I can remember, so I’m blanking on anyone who would come out and cost the babyfaces the win.
