At Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, Thunder Rosa wrestled her first match since 2022 and it was a successful return to the ring for the former women’s champion.
In her first match in 500 days (since August 10, 2002), Rosa teamed with Abadon in a winning effort against Skye Blue and Julia Hart.
Rosa pinned Blue to score the victory for her team.
Following the match, AEW President Tony Khan and Rosa both reacted to her triumphant in-ring return on Collision.
Khan tweeted, “Welcome back @thunderrosa22! The San Antonio crowd is happy to see Thunder Rosa back in @AEW! Great match Thunder Rosa/@abadon_AEW vs @TheJuliaHart/@Skyebyee tonight on Saturday #AEWCollision! I’m excited for the TBS Title fight Julia Hart vs Abadon NEXT SATURDAY at Worlds End!”
FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) had enough of the House of Black and finally issued a challenge on Saturday’s Collision.
Daniel Garcia defeated Brody King in the AEW Continental Classic following which the lights went out.
Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black showed up to attack Garcia, with Daddy Magic failing to save his ally.
Finally, FTR ran out for the real save and challenged House Of Black to a future match.
Neither was the challenge accepted nor was the match made official.
