Prior to this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite going live, Hikaru Shida defeated Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga in a dark match.
In the main event segment of this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada made an appearance to confront Bryan Danielson prior to their match at Sunday’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event.
As the show came to a close, Danielson insisted that Okada wasn’t going to show up. So instead, he was going to stomp Tomohiro Ishii’s face in. That’s when Okada hit the ring and ran Danielson off.
