AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF has been doing a friendship storyline with Adam Cole in recent weeks.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw MJF and Cole win the “blind eliminator” tag team tournament, earning the right to challenge FTR for the tag team titles on the July 29, 2023 edition of Collision.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the duo’s “Better Than You Bay Bay” t-shirt has sold more than any AEW shirt for all of 2023. He wrote,
“The MJF & Adam Cole T-shirt “Better than You Bay Bay” in the last few weeks since the release has sold more numbers of shirts than any AEW shirt has for all of 2023. It’s also the shirt that has been pushed harder than any shirt on the Dynamite show, particularly by MJF last week. It is the second highest grossing shirt of the year behind an MJF button down shirt that has a higher price point.“
