AEW Dynamite made an unexpected change for its first episode of 2025 by using The Pointer Sisters’ 1982 dance-pop hit “I’m So Excited” as its new theme song.
The song, from their album So Excited!, became one of the group’s most iconic tracks and is known for its upbeat vibe. This move comes as AEW celebrates the milestone of simulcasting the show on TBS and Max.
AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter to comment on the new theme song, writing:
“I’m So Excited for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite tonight, right NOW!
Thank you all watching @AEWonTV tonight on TBS and/or @SportsonMax right now!”
