AEW recently submitted a trademark application for “King of Harts,” a nickname linked to the late Owen Hart.
AEW has had a long-standing partnership with Owen’s family and hosts a yearly tournament in his honor.
The trademark application is specifically for action figures, and AEW is developing Owen Hart figures in collaboration with Jazwares.
AEW previously filed to trademark the term in 2021 for “educational and entertainment services, namely, a continuing program about wrestling accessible by radio, television, satellite, audio, video and computer networks; Entertainment services in the nature of development, creation, production, distribution, and post-production of wrestling programs and wrestling multimedia entertainment event content; Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances.”
