During a recent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Thunder Rosa commented on wrestling veterans needing to give back to the business. She said,

“I think everyone has different motives, and sometimes, even though they want to help, the powers that be don’t allow them to help [in the way that] they want to help the newer generation. I’m not, like, a super-super vet, but I’ve been in the [business] for a minute. I think once you start getting like, 15, 16 years, it is important that you help the next generation to be better, right? And that is by having good storylines with them, having good feuds, and helping them, and giving them the stuff that you know. And that’s what’s Nic’s doing everywhere.”

We reported back in February that WWE received a $1.6 million tax credit from the state of Ohio, and now AEW will be getting a tax credit of their own.

The Ohio Department of Development and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine recently came together to announce that $36.7 million in state tax credits will be given out to support film and other projects in the state.

AEW is listed under the TV series category and will be receiving a $1,275,000 tax credit when they come to Cleveland, OH for an episode of Collision in September.

You can check out the official filing below:

“The Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit Program provides a refundable tax credit of 30 percent on production cast and crew wages and other in-state spending for eligible productions, including feature-length films, documentaries, Broadway and pre-Broadway productions, miniseries, video games, and music videos. Additional program information can be found at development.ohio.gov/film.”
