Daniel Garcia announced in a promo on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday that he will continue to be part of AEW.
Despite receiving interest from WWE earlier this year, Garcia chose to sign a new deal with Tony Khan’s company.
This decision came after Garcia had not been seen since putting over MJF at All Out 2024.
In his promo, Garcia mentioned that his decision to stay with AEW may not be the easiest or most popular, but he wants to be where the best wrestlers are and change his vision of himself. The former ROH Pure Champion also called out all the current titleholders in AEW.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that AEW’s offer to Garcia was higher than what WWE was willing to offer him.
The report states, “The way he explained it on the air and Khan as well was that it was a hard decision. Those in WWE said more than a month back that the AEW deal was significantly higher, and they expected he would take it.”
