Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena is the latest high-profile name confirmed for Maple Leaf Pro’s ‘Forged in Excellence’ event.
The promotion is being resurrected by former TNA President Scott D’Amore. The Canadian was fired from the promotion by Anthem earlier this year.
Athena will be part of the two-night event that will take place on October 19 and October 20. An opponent for her has yet to be named.
Other names confirmed for Maple Leaf Pro’s return event include Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita, Jordynne Grace, and Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal in WWE).
Athena has held the ROH Women’s World Title for over 625 days. She holds the record for the longest reign and has held the gold more than all other former champions combined.
