In a recent interview with “WFAA,” Darby Allin revealed that Sting has recently been backstage at AEW Collision TV tapings.

Darby said, “Yeah. He’s been backstage at some of the Collisions. I keep telling him, you’ve got to come out and we’ve got to go mini-golf battle. You know, like his son, I’m helping train his son right now in wrestling, and I took the son mini-golfing, and I whooped his butt, and then I just asked Sting, does it run in the family to lose to Darby Allen in mini-golf? We’ll find out. He claims that he’s a mini-golf master, but he hasn’t pulled up to the course yet.”

Fightful Select is reporting that Sting was spotted backstage at some of the recent Collision and ROH TV tapings in Arlington, Texas, as he is a resident of the area.

Sting visited with friends and reportedly surprised Darby by attending one of the Collision shows where Allin performed.

Although Sting retired following AEW Revolution 2024, the company still lists him on the roster. However, he has not been actively involved with the company since the event.

Sting has reportedly maintained contact with Darby but has mostly stayed out of the spotlight except for occasional appearances at conventions and events.

In response to the announcement of AEW: All In Texas 2025, Sting mentioned that it is “just down the road” and stated, “I’ll be watching from ‘somewhere.'”
