Former AEW producer BJ Whitmer was scheduled to be sentenced today on charges of domestic violence.
On June 4, 2023, Whitmer was arrested on charges of strangulation in the first degree and burglary in the second degree. Whitmer was indicted on September 6th after a hearing on the matter. Both of the charges are Class C felonies.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Whitmer was fired from All Elite Wrestling immediately following the news of his arrest surfacing online.
Pwinsider is reporting that Whitmer was scheduled for sentencing earlier today according to court records from Kentucky’s Boone County Criminal Court.
Whitmer did not stand trial on the charges, which suggests that a plea deal was reached.
Whitmer is not listed as incarcerated yet, though details on the sentencing are yet to be revealed.
