During a recent edition of the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, ring announcer Bobby Cruise expressed admiration for AEW and Tony Khan regarding their tribute to the late Jay Briscoe (Jamin Pugh).
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On Tony Khan’s respect for ROH: “The respect that he has for Ring of Honor, and Ring of Honor’s history and the people in it…like what happened with Jamin obviously was a tragic thing,” Cruise said, “but the way we have continued to honor him with the ladder match at Supercard [of Honor], the Jay Briscoe ‘Reach for the Sky’ match, his likeness on the title belts on the side plates and stuff.”
On Khan’s passion for wrestling: “Just really, really cool stuff that I think it takes someone special like [Tony Khan] and his passion for everything he does, but you know now one of those things is Ring of Honor to just…little details that are really, really cool.”
During a recent edition of the “Ring the Belle” podcast, AEW wrestler Kris Statlander expressed her regret for punching Orange Cassidy on the June 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.
Statlander said, “I do have some regrets, I will admit. I don’t think he deserved it because he had been my best friend for so long. I think a lot of things were just really getting to me where it’s like, Best Friends had broken up, Willow was getting a lot more spotlight over me and I was letting everything get to me and I was taking it out on the wrong people. I don’t know if there’s ever a chance for reconciliation, but, if there were to be, I’d be very grateful because I admire and respect Orange so much.”
