Orange Cassidy says he was once compared to Ryan Gosling.
While speaking to Mojo Rawley for TMZ recalled the moment which took place at an independent show in Texas. He said,
“Let me tell you a quick little story. I was wrestling on an independent show. I think it was down in Texas, I don’t know exactly where it was, there were like 50 people in the crowd. They didn’t know who I was, they could care less. I come out, I walk around the ring to get in the ring. Some kid was like, ‘Here’s this guy. He looks like Ryan Gosling.’”
He continued, “That is the best compliment anyone could give me. The idea that I look like Ryan Gosling. Thank you. Thank you. When the movie Barbie came out and Twitter was blowing up, ‘Looks, it’s Orange Cassidy in the movie.’ Yeah, I wish I was next to Margot Robbie in that movie. Put me in the sequel.”
Bobby Lashley says that one of the main reasons he joined All Elite Wrestling was to reunite with The Hurt Syndicate’s MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
While speaking with Justin Barrasso on the “Undisputed” podcast, the Almighty One opined in why he joined AEW, his partnership with MVP, and more.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On joining AEW: “The reason is The Hurt Syndicate. We wanted an opportunity to run with the group, and Tony Khan gave us that opportunity in AEW. We didn’t get the opportunity to show what we really wanted to do before. Now we do. The possibilities and ideas about what we can do in AEW, that keeps me up at night.”
On his partnership with MVP: “When we got thrown together in Impact, we didn’t know what to expect–but it just worked. There is a synergy. He’s a natural bad guy. He’s the voice, I’m the power. Handling yourself against MVP on the mic and against me in the ring, that’s a challenge for everyone in AEW. We are exactly who we say we are. I’m a nice guy but I can hurt people. MVP does not hold his tongue. At all. That gets him in trouble sometimes, but he’s real. He means what he says, and you need to respect that. If you don’t, you’ve got to deal with me.”
