On a recent edition of their “Nikki & Brie Show” podcast, Brie Garcia shared her experience of bringing her son Buddy backstage at an AEW show and her belief that he will become a professional wrestler.
Brie said, “When we went backstage, Buddy is for sure going to be a wrestler. He was in his zone, his energy, to the point I was like, ‘Mommy is here.’ He would run from me and try to wrestle everyone. He was climbing all the guys and holding their hands and wanting to do fun things with them. He was amped.”
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Dave Prazak discussed Nigel McGuinness’ desire for a final match against Bryan Danielson and the AEW/ROH broadcaster’s aspiration to achieve a sense of closure.
If Danielson receives medical clearance, the match will take place on Wednesday at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
Prazak said, “There was magic every time that Danielson and McGuinness got in the ring against one another and it happened on so many different occasions in the ROH days. They did trade wins back and forth, I know that Nigel feels that he has something to prove, he wants to get some closure on his in-ring wrestling career by having that one more match with Bryan Danielson and proving that he is better than the American Dragon. In my opinion, I don’t think that Nigel really needs to prove that, I mean he’s certainly proved that he’s on the very same level as Danielson and on certain nights was the better man, but you know, that was fifteen years ago. I certainly hope he’s able to get that closure that he wants in the match coming up at Arthur Ashe this week.”
