Another match has been unofficially added to the card for AEW All In 2024 at Wembley Stadium, as Mercedes Mone has been challenged for her AEW TBS Championship by Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
On the July 3, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, Baker cut a promo to explain her absence after having returned to stare down Mone at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024.
Baker spoke on how she had been diagnosed with a transient ischemic attack — essentially a mini-stroke — and needed to take time to heal up. But now that she’s been cleared, and her fears about being met with a lukewarm reception have been put aside as well, she has her sights set on Mone, who she dubbed the new face of the women’s division in All Elite Wrestling.
Mone would then come out to gloat about her victory over Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door, wherein she became a double champion by capturing the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship. Her celebration turned into a battle of words between herself and Baker, who put out a challenge for All In 2024.
Mone downplayed this challenge, telling Baker to get to the back of the line. Baker retorted “B*tch, what line?” and the champ ended the promo by saying that “There’s a price to pay when you mess with Mercedes Mone,”
essentially accepting the challenge.Who do you think walks out of Wembley Stadium with the AEW TBS Championship? Drop your predictions in the comments below!
