Bryan Danielson will challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship in the main event of AEW All In 2024, scheduled for Sunday, August 25, at Wembley Stadium in London, UK.
The match was announced following Danielson’s victory in the 2024 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, where he defeated Hangman Page in the finals.
Danielson previously announced that his full-time wrestling career would end this year, but he plans to continue participating in a limited number of matches annually.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Danielson will join a lucrative group of wrestlers, regardless of the outcome of his match at AEW All In 2024.
The report states, “Danielson, if he doesn’t get hurt before Wembley, will join only Jericho, Moxley and John Tenta as people who have worked Wembley Stadium, Madison Square Garden, the Tokyo Dome and Arena Mexico. The hard one is Wembley Stadium since there have only been two shows there in history.”
Danielson’s contract will expire shortly before AEW All In 2024.
