Bully Ray – ‘AEW’s Ratings Are Fans Saying We Don’t Like Your Product’

Wrestling fans are making their views clear on AEW’s product, according to Bully Ray, as the company continues to see a slump in the ratings.

It’s been over two years since AEW Dynamite hit over one million viewers, a stat that AEW President Tony Khan often touted on social media.

On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully Ray spoke about AEW’s ratings and the lesson AEW should learn. He said,

“Right now, fans are telling AEW that they don’t like the product that they are being given… Not only in the ratings, but in the houses.”

Ray added that AEW has conditioned fans to expect more and more, and used a film comparison to make his views clear. He said,

“They have blown through everything. Watching AEW right now is as if you started with the first, like, four or five installments of the Fast and Furious, and then you ask somebody to sit down and watch The Godfather.

“One company is relying on old-school rules of professional wrestling and that’s the WWE. Don’t be the alternative and get away from the pillars and foundation of what pro wrestling is.”

Ray did acknowledge that the dip in ratings could be impacted by streaming but believes this is a very small percentage of fans.

Bully Ray appeared on the latest edition of WWE NXT from the ECW Arena, where he was part of the evening’s main event and reunited with D-Von Dudley.
