Bully Ray has high expectations for The Hurt Syndicate in AEW, but believes there’s one thing they need to do in order to guarantee success.
During the recent episode of AEW Grand Slam: Dynamite, MVP debuted for AEW, and Shelton Benjamin would be introduced shortly after.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully Ray spoke about the group and the rumored arrival of Bobby Lashley. He said,
“I’m assuming we’re gonna get Bobby, we might get another addition to it, maybe like a [Will] Hobbs, but this new version of The Hurt Business needs to be extremely credible; needs to be extremely feared. I want to see the modern-day Nation of Domination.
“Now the Nation of Domination was a bit gimmicky in its inception; Vince McMahon loved gimmicky gimmicks… A bunch of righteous Black men in a group, imposing their will, that’s what I believe this new business of The Hurt Business can be.”
During this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Shelton Benjamin defeated Lio Rush with the downed Rush being given a business card after the match.
Throughout the show, MVP was seen approaching The Acclaimed with an offer. While Anthony Bowens rejected for his team, Caster pocketed a business card.
