Bully Ray took to the “Busted Open Radio” podcast on Friday to discuss a variety of topics, including the Blood & Guts match that took place on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
While Ray admitted that the match was “extremely entertaining,” he did have a critique about the finish.

On the match: “[It was] extremely entertaining… I understood the psychology behind the finish. I had a lot of first-time callers call into After Dark last night that were at the arena … who said that the live crowd was not happy with the actual finish. … He said there were definitely rumblings and groans in the crowd.”
On the ending not playing out in a satisfying way: “There was not enough drama, there was not enough suspense. There was no ‘Holy s**t, he might actually set him on fire’ factor, because he was a whole ring’s length away. You gotta bring people right to the edge and then you take it away from them.”
On enjoying the match as a whole: “I didn’t think the finish was flat enough to take away from the great hour of action. I also enjoyed the fact that they incorporated some psychology into the match with Hangman not coming down during his entrance, and then jumping Swerve in the aisleway and handcuffing him.”
Tommy Dreamer also took to the “Busted Open Radio” podcast to react to Kamille’s AEW debut on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

On Kamille’s debut: “Kamille is a super impressive, dominant-looking female. Makes perfect sense to have her as the heater for Mercedes Mone, putting an obstacle in Dr. Britt Baker’s way … Kamille, former NWA Women’s Champion, she’s been to the top. I would love to see how this relationship plays out over the long term, because eventually, you know, it usually goes sour. But this is a great way for Mercedes Mone, who is totally entrenched in her ‘CEO’ evil role. I enjoyed it.”
On Kamille giving a potential excuse for Britt Baker losing to Mone: “It’s also the perfect way not to put your title on Britt Baker, and have her lose because of some sort of interference, and then you could also do Kamille versus Britt Baker, which would be a great match as well.”
