During a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray shared his thoughts on Daniel Garcia’s return on AEW Dynamite, noting that the segment had the potential to be more impactful.

During the segment, Garcia announced his decision to continue with AEW. Ray proposed that Garcia could have heightened the moment by presenting a contract, hinting that it was from WWE, and then tearing it up.

Ray said,If I’m Daniel Garcia, I’m walking out to that ring with a manila envelope. And I start to talk about the contract that I have in my hand. And then I would tell the people, ‘This is not an AEW contract. This is a contract from another wrestling company. And I think you all know what wrestling company this contract is from. And I gotta be honest people, this is a very lucrative contract. And the numbers on this contract [are] almost double than what was offered to me by Tony Khan and AEW.’ This is coming off the top of my head, because this is so easy. And then Daniel Garcia says, ‘I’m staying with AEW!’”

During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, AEW wrestler Chris Jericho was asked about the possibility of returning to WWE in the near future.

Jericho declared that he is currently enjoying his time working in AEW and sees no need to move elsewhere.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On a potential WWE return: “I enjoyed working there in the past and I can probably work there in the future as well. We’ll see. To me, business is business but I enjoy working with AEW, I enjoy all that we’ve accomplished since day one, especially now with the new TV deal. We did what we set out to do which was to change the course of wrestling history — Tony and I and all of us have done that.”

On not having a reason to leave AEW right now: “It’s a pretty cool f*** you to anyone that didn’t think we could do it. Now seeing this television deal and the amount of money we got for it, we’re on our way man and we’re not going anywhere. There’s really no reason for me to go anywhere else right now, I enjoy working for the Khan family and I enjoy working for AEW. I’m happy.”

As noted, Jericho is reportedly about to enter the last year of his current multi-year contract with AEW.
