AEW wrestler Dr. Britt Baker spoke with Ringside Collectibles at the San Diego Comic-Con to discuss her return to AEW and her ongoing feud with Mercedes Mone. She said,
“I would flip that on you. I would say I’m more of a thorn in her side because now I’m back, and the games are over. You can’t just look in the mirror and pretend. Now you have to live up to it, and you’re not the face of the division, I am. So who’s the thorn in whose side? It’s me because I’m the friendly reminder that you’re full of ****.”
Dr. Britt Baker will face Mercedes Mone for the AEW TBS Championship at AEW All In: London, which takes place on Sunday, August 25 at Wembley Stadium.
AEW wrestler Darby Allin also spoke with Ringside Collectibles to comment on his belief that Jack Perry’s incident with CM Punk last year helped Perry find his niche as a heel in wrestling. He said,
“No, it’s really interesting because I felt like last year, Jack Perry was going to All In as a heel, but I really didn’t feel like he like found his niche. Unfortunately, he did what he did, but weirdly enough, I feel like that actually made him find his niche. They say wrestling’s the best when you’re yourself turned up to 100, and he’s just a do*chebag, so it’s kind of cool that he can just be his normal self.”
