An injured AEW wrestler has been medically cleared for in-ring action.
That wrestler is Sammy Guevara, who had a scary moment during the ROH TV tapings when he seemed to be knocked unconscious in his match against Serpentico.
Serpentico attempted a cutter to counter a top-rope maneuver but failed and landed on Guevara’s head. The match was halted, and Serpentico was awarded the victory. As a result of the botch, Guevara was taken out on a stretcher.
At the time, it was suspected that Guevara had suffered a concussion.
PWTorch later reported that Guevara was spotted walking around after being examined, and it wouldn’t have been apparent that he had been taken out on a stretcher earlier.
The former TNT Champion has been sidelined for several weeks since that incident.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Guevara has been cleared to return to in-ring competition.
As of now, it is uncertain when he will return to AEW TV.
