The Grizzled Young Veterans, also known as Grizzled Young Vets, consisting of James Drake and Zack Gibson, made their AEW debut in late April, where they faced off against The Acclaimed but lost on an episode of AEW Collision.
It was reported earlier this month that there were talks between the two sides.
While speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro UK, Zack Gibson discussed a potential return to the promotion. He said,
“We never burned any bridges, we can always reopen those talks if we wanted to. Similarly, if we’re enjoying ourselves more elsewhere, then we may never need to go back. We’re not set on any one particular path. We just wanted to get our stock moving in the right direction again. Since leaving WWE, we made the right decision.”
