AEW seems to be on the verge of welcoming back an injured star soon.
Ortiz has been inactive for most of 2024 due to a torn pectoral muscle he sustained while teaming with Eddie Kingston against Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli on the January 20th episode of AEW Collision.
Following his split with Mike Santana, who has since left AEW for TNA Wrestling, Ortiz had been positioned as a singles wrestler. His last appearance on Dynamite was in March 2023.
During a recent appearance on Isiah Kassidy’s vlog, Ortiz shared an update regarding his return to the ring.
Ortiz said, “I’m not quite back yet, but I’m right there. I’m stronger, faster, but less flexible.”
