It had been announced ahead of time prior to this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite that Jeff Jarrett had some kind of message to send about his career. Traditionally, this means something akin to retirement, so that was the tease as he entered the ring.
Jarrett spoke about how his family got into the business by taking risks, and that that’s carried over into his own career. He mentioned the big risk he had taken in starting TNA Wrestling and when mulling over the idea that The Last Outlaw should ride off into the sunset, he said “hell no” and dropped his boots.
Instead, Jarrett has aspirations of winning gold — and not just trios or tag team gold, but specifically the AEW World Championship.
That is his new year’s resolution for 2025 – to win the AEW title.
It’s worth noting that Jarrett also stated that he recently signed a new AEW contract.
