It’s been years since Jim Ross has called a WWE match, but the Hall of Famer would love to one day commentate alongside NXT’s Booker T.
Ross is regarded by many as the greatest commentator of all time and spent years in WWE broadcasting alongside Jerry Lawler.
On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross shared his praise for Booker T, who has been commentating in NXT for years. He said,
“If you listen closely to his commentary, it’s very entertaining, so I’d love to work with Booker T someday, I think we’d have a blast.
“[He] is funny as hell. He’s one of the best, and a good dude.”
Ross joined AEW as a commentator in 2019 and while health issues have led to multiple breaks, JR continues to call some of the company’s top matches.
