Your winner of the 2024 AEW Continental Classic tournament and still AEW Continental Champion is Kazuchika Okada, who retained his title at AEW Worlds End 2024 in Orlando, Florida.
Okada was victorious over Ricochet in the semifinals early in the night, setting up the finals against Will Ospreay, who had defeated Kyle Fletcher in their own semifinals match.
After a hard-fought match, Okada was able to score the pinfall after a Rainmaker for a clean win. Okada and Ospreay even shook hands after the match.
Surprisingly, after the match, Christopher Daniels came out to say that he would normally be heading to the ring to present Okada with the AEW Continental Championship to signify this win, but he is no longer the interim Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling. However, “this man is” — which was the invite for Kenny Omega to come out and make his return.
Omega took a moment during his entrance, but then walked to the ring with the belt, handed it to Okada, and the two had a stare down for a moment, possibly signifying a feud to come. The commentary team made it a point to say that they aren’t sure when he’ll be cleared to compete in the ring, but hyped up the potential match nevertheless.
And with that, the Continental Classic comes to a close, Okada retains his title, Daniels relinquishes his authority position, and Omega is at least back in a managerial sense.
