As we previously reported here on eWn, Kevin Kelly, Brandon Tate, and Brendan Tate are suing AEW, citing defamation and misclassification of their roles.
On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, AEW broadcaster Jim Ross expressed doubt regarding Kelly’s chances of winning the lawsuit against AEW.
Ross called the lawsuit “frivolous” and noted that the plaintiffs, including Kelly and the Tate Brothers, will probably deplete their funds before AEW President Tony Khan and does not expect them to reach a settlement.
Taking to Twitter, Kelly responded to Ross’ comments, writing,
“Lots of comments on our lawsuit and we will see what happens. I had hoped to settle this fairly and quietly with AEW but they left us no choice. And to my friend JR, this is not “frivolous” in the least. We look forward to what comes next. Thank you all very much.”
